Christians and gluttony

with 2 comments

I have often pondered the fact that many practicing Christians seems to ignore, omit, and even joke about over-eating to the point of it being detrimental to their health, hence gluttony.

It is a known fact that restaurant’s waitstaffs dread the ‘after-church’ patrons, as they are, by and large, rude, piggish and cheap tippers. What a horrid testimony for the Lord. I think pastors should give messages to their congregations on this disgusting behavior. You hear so many references to the having the right attitude towards rude drivers and traffic incidents; I think its high-time to start addressing issues pertaining to food.

I will be writing more on this subject matter. Be patient and stay with me.

  1. Hmmm … I take it you’re trying to address the problem of people over-eating, which could lead to health problems? Anyway, looking forward to reading more.

    • Thank you, Steve…yes, there are some things that bother me and how some Christians view other Christians, and frankly, I find it judgmental. I also believe some Christians put God in a ‘box’.
